Nothing beats Challah (or Brioche) French Toast!
Wonderfully fluffy on the inside with the perfect golden brown outside. This easy breakfast recipe is packed with spices which makes it super flavoursome.
Makes 2 French Toasts for 1 person.
Ingredients
2 thick slices of bread
1 egg
1/4 cup of milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp of grated nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Butter (or vegetable oil)
Maple syrup or honey
Optional toppings
Ricotta
Raspberries and blueberries
Instructions
In a large bowl mix egg, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla together
Soak each slice of bread on both sides
Over medium heat, add a light layer of butter or oil to the frying pan
Place slices facing down and cook evenly on bother sides until golden brown
Plate french toast and then add your desired toppings to serve
